Some of you may know that I live with my head in the clouds. Literally. I LOOOOOOOVE all things weather. I am obsessed with it all. It fascinates the absolute heck outta me. If you ever lived with me... even for just a little while, you can certainly know this about me.
I am the one standing with my nose out the front door during a terrific storm.
I'm the one romping around outside in the eye of the typhoon or zooming down to the docks to watch all the ships turn themselves into the wind away from the piers while everyone else is boarding up glass windows.
I'm the one with the bloody weather channel on during hurricane season.
I'm the one who WANTS to see the aftermath of weather-induced destruction just so I can know first hand what can actually happen.
Now, in my *mature* years (ha!) I am also a trained weather spotter for the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). I am currently waiting to take a couple advanced level classes with
Skywarn -- the layman's organization that trains us and teaches us how to identify particular weather conditions. So.... having said that so you recognize what kind of fanatic I am.... allow me to show you the photographs I took this afternoon right here in Westminster, Maryland. Now, THIS is weather!!!
(oh and, yes.... my blog is snowing ;)
